Who We Are

CMF Festival Vibe

Founded in 2023 in San Diego by Reyes Rodriguez (pka: Mr. Lil One), the Chicano Music Festival (CMF) is a fast-growing cultural platform built to celebrate, elevate, and protect the depth and diversity of Chicano culture. The CMF is designed as a living expression of identity where cross-generational audiences connect, ensuring that culture is not only preserved but aggressively pushed forward.

Operating as a traveling cultural summit with a history of large-scale events across multiple cities, the CMF forces the world to watch a culture evolve in real-time. It dismantles monolithic stereotypes by proving that the Chicano universe contains multitudes—from indigenous resilience and stoic philosophy to high-art futurism and technological innovation.

CMF Cultural Experience

The festival experience is engineered around two distinct cultural pillars:

The Foundation: A dedicated focus on protecting and perfecting the legacy acts, traditional roots, and historical Chicano culture.

The Evolution: A forward-looking initiative focused on pushing boundaries through experimental soundscapes, intellectual tech-integrations, and high-level digital art.

Beyond the stage, the CMF is a complete, immersive cultural gathering. Each stop on the festival’s journey features a highly curated ecosystem of lowriders, live art, poetry, Aztec dancers, mariachis, and specialized vendors.

The Chicano Music Festival goes where the culture needs it. It is more than a concert; it is a reflection of who we are—past, present, and future.
